Baja Hoodies - The Pullover Mexican Sweater Poncho

The primary baja hoodie is now mostly seen on hippies throughout the United States but it wasn't always that way. In the late 1980's this Mexican style hoodie poncho was very beloved and worn by everyone.

The great thing about changes in style is that provide and ask holds true. When everyone wants to be trendy and "in style", they will pay a lot of money for the hip thing at that time. Retailers are well aware that this is the case and they capitalize on it by charging more money for their products.

Now that the once beloved Mexican style hooded sweater is not beloved it can found at very cheap prices on the Internet on websites that offer the product.

The hooded pullover sweatshirt can be found in many styles from one solid color to very thoughprovoking and expressive. They are also made from separate materials but most ordinarily they are 100% cotton.

The word baja in Spanish means low or short. The term hoodie refers to any sweater that has a hood. This style of sweater is sometimes referred to as a Mexican poncho hoodie or a baja shirt.

Mexican style clothing, whether sweaters or blankets, is becoming very beloved among obvious groups people. Hippies and Yoga fanatics have embraced this style the most.

Mexican blankets are very base in yoga classes now and are used as yoga blankets. Hippies love the style of the Mexican pullover sweatshirts because they come in a wide collection of colors.

Women's Sweaters of the 1980's Compared With Now

The most noticeable highlight of women's sweaters in the 1980's was how Big they were. In the main, sweaters and cardigans were long, and spacious, and 'sloppy'. There was plentifulness of room to move nearby in them, and hide inside them too, if you felt you needed to! The 1980's was also the era of big, often padded shoulders, which contributed to the bulky look.

Mohair, as a yarn for women's sweaters, was very beloved back then. It is not hard now, to see why it is no longer used as much, given mohair's tendency to shed fine hairs which are particularly noticeable on dark clothing.

Another highlight of 1980's sweaters and cardigans for women was the patterning. Geometric patterns were very beloved especially bright and bold triangles. But not just triangles ... There was also a composition of broad, colourful stripes and brilliant shapes intermingled and arrival together to make a bold and definite statement. Dramatic photograph knits were beloved too, using in general birds and flowers as motifs.

Women's sweaters now are rather more subdued. Bold patterns are much less obvious and plain colours are more the order of the day. There are plentifulness of excellent styles to be seen such as long sleeve polo necks, round neck sweaters and v-necks. These are available in a wide range of plain colours, using wool, wool-mix yarns, or cashmere and engine knitted in stocking stitch.

Today's fashion sweaters are characterised by being closer fitting than twenty years ago and the cardigans have large buttons ... Sometimes just one. A style of knitting much in evidence at present is the use of cable stitches of separate sizes and shapes and also ribbed knitting. Where sweaters are concerned, many examples of loose, cowl necklines can be seen and there are also a few hooded, knitted sweaters and cardigans available.
